![]() Worth playing as a middle of the road entry in a franchise that doesn't want to take it a quarter mile at a time. It's got a shitload of problems but it's still memorable after seven years, it sticks to it's guns and takes big risks with the mission types (no freeroam cops but everything else is great). ![]() The transactions don't bother me as much, if anything it helps me to keep playing (and no I don't cheat by spending extra money). The multiplayer doesn't add any necessary action that could balance the clichéness out either.Ī fictional version of Las Vegas, even though the map is dead, it still brings in that feel of the desert, the country yee-haw music you'd associate with those kind of states and the gambling aspect is engaging and different. Whenever I press the button to buy it the screen just becomes blurred until I move out of the buyzone. The big meetup missions where Jess, Tyler and Mac get compromised everytime by some cop cars or buffed up swat vehicles are just lazy and tacked on for the sake of a gimmick. Hello, I have tried to purchase a garage in the trial version of NFS:PB (Origin Access), and I can't seem to buy it. It's pretty funny in the awkward sense, the story is a riot going from that. Need for Speed Payback feels like a generic action movie but with charm here and there, like it was trying to be more than what it is. ![]()
